Department of individual electronics

As a part of the education as an electronics engineer with emphasis on “technical informatics” we also offer an individual setting of priorities.

Event engineering

Are you interested in editing sound and patterning light effects?

We train you in:

  • how a laser, a microphone and a loudspeaker work and how to use them

  • how different signals are captured and edited

  • how to create sound and light effects with microcontrollers and programmable logic

  • a variety of entertainment electronics

Lighting engineering

Are you interested in controlling light sources and pattern the illumination?

We teach you:

  • how power-LEDs and laser work and how to use them

  • how to use digital and analogous signals for controlling

  • how to programme microcontrollers and programmable logic

Computer scientist and computer programmer

Are you interested in writing your own programs and programming microcontrollers?

You will gain experience in:

  • which text-based programming languages there are (i.e. Java, C++,…) and how to use them

  • which graphic-based programming languages exist (i.e. DasyLab, LabView) and how to use them

  • how microcontrollers and programmable logic gates work and how to operate them

  • how database systems are constructed

Web-designer and system administrator

Are you interested in writing your own programs and programming microcontrollers?

Aims:

  • which text-based programming languages exist (i.e. Java, C++,…) and how to use them

  • how to design web-pages

  • which network topogolies exist and how to set up a working network

  • how servers work and how to operate with servers

  • how to embed different systems in an overall system

Sensor technology and robotics

Are you interested in capturing signals with sensors and what drives them?

You will learn:

  • which sensors and actuators exist and how to apply them

  • how to design simple robotic models via LEGO-Mindstorms

  • how to use digital and analog signals for controlling

  • how to realise general measuring, controlling systems via LabView

Project- and product management

Are you interested in leading different projects and working with new products?

Gather experience in:

  • how to plan and monitor projects

  • which economic points must be considered

  • how to assure and control quality of the products

Communication engineering

Are you interested in setting up computer networks and broadcasting information wirelessly?

Special abilities:

  • which network topologies and components exist, how to connect them and how to build up a safe and working system

  • which sorts of wire-based transmitting options exist (i.e. optical fiber) and how these means of broadcasting work

  • which sorts of wireless-based transmitting options exist (i.e. WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS,…) and how broadcasting works

Building automation

Are you interested in assembling different systems and operating control in a building?

Acquire experience in:

  • which sensors and actuators exist and how to use them in reference to building automatization (i.e. heating regulation, alarm systems, video surveillance,…)

  • how to capture different signals and edit them

  • how to embed different systems in an overall system

  • how to set up safe and working networks

  • how to programme with microcontrollers and programmable logic
